Are you ready to grow your career as a Production Area Leader within a business genuinely committed to developing people? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected food manufacturer known for promoting from within and supporting leaders at every stage of their journey. If you want long-term progression, stability, and a move away from continental or Panama-style shifts, this role offers exactly that.
This business has a strong reputation for nurturing talent. Many current senior managers began their careers as Production Area Leaders, Team Leaders, or Supervisors. If you’re ambitious, motivated, and keen to build a long-term future, you’ll benefit from structured development, ongoing support, and a culture that celebrates growth.
As a Production Area Leader, you will lead and support your team within Production or Packaging, ensuring every shift runs safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Working closely with the Shift Manager, you’ll help build a positive culture, drive engagement, and support continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide people, solve problems, and develop the capabilities needed to advance your manufacturing career.
Lead, coach, and motivate your team to meet KPIs across safety, quality, performance, and cost.
Ensure your area is audit-ready and compliant with all food safety, quality, and HSE requirements.
Manage raw materials, packaging, and waste to support efficient production.
Drive continuous improvement through problem solving, data analysis, and team involvement.
Promote teamwork, accountability, hygiene, and strong GMP standards.
You’ll already be working as a Production Area Leader, Team Leader, Line Leader, or Supervisor within food manufacturing or FMCG and now want greater responsibility and development.
You will bring:
Effective leadership and communication skills.
A hands-on, people-focused approach with a passion for coaching.
Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and compliance.
Confidence using systems such as SAP or MIMO (an advantage).
A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
Competitive salary up to £38,000 (DOE).
Monday–Friday shifts, giving a more predictable work–life balance.
23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
A chance to move away from rotating or continental patterns into a stable, supportive environment.
Clear, achievable development routes — this business is known for progressing Production Area Leaders into more senior operational roles.
