Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Manchester Area | £30,000–£31,400 (Paid at £14.87/hr) | Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm

 

Looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor role where you can lead a team, drive results, and make a real impact? This could be the one.

This food manufacturing business has recently gone through positive change and is now growing fast. With new customers, a strong leadership team, and clear focus on quality and performance, they need someone to step in and keep operations running smoothly.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of 20-30
  • Drive production KPIs: plan attainment, OEE, waste, line speeds, labour efficiency
  • Ensure products are made right first time, meeting food safety, HACCP, and GMP standards
  • Support audits, customer visits, and product launches
  • Identify and implement improvements using Lean principles
  • Manage attendance, performance, and development of your team

What you need:

  • Supervisory experience in food manufacturing
  • Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and GMP
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused

 

Nice to have: NVQ/Food Manufacturing qualification, Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP, IOSH/Health & Safety training
