Food Manufacturing (the decent kind, not the stuff that sweats on the drive home)
If you’re the person everyone calls when something goes wrong – but never when things go right, you’ll recognise this job instantly.
We’re a long-standing food manufacturer that treats quality as the thing that keeps retailers calm and auditors away, not a box to tick. We need a Quality Manager who can lead a team, tighten up the QMS, and keep standards high without boring everyone to death.
What you’ll steer
A QMS that’s compliant and actually used
A QA/QC team who want direction
Internal audits that catch issues early
Ops partners who don’t “forget” quality in busy weeks
KPIs that show more than “we survived”
External conversations with suppliers and auditors that won’t make you sweat
What you’ll need
Quality management experience in food
HACCP, BRC, and audit-readiness that isn’t theoretical
Real leadership skills
A problem-solving brain and decent communication
The usual IT competence
What you get
Sensible hours, solid benefits, proper development, and a site that actually wants quality to improve – not just tick along.
If you want influence, not maintenance, let’s talk.
